Introducing the Cornerstone Society

The Cooper Foundation of Cooper University Health Care is pleased to introduce the 2013 Cornerstone Society, a philanthropic initiative to support the new MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper.
As a founding member of the Cornerstone Society, your generosity will help inspire others – and just as a physical cornerstone serves as the foundation of a building, your gift will serve as a foundation for the future.

On the Forefront of Medicine

MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper is a partnership between Cooper University Health Care and The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. This game-changing partnership brings together a leading regional cancer center and the nation’s leading cancer center to establish a fully integrated, comprehensive center treating all types of cancers for patients throughout the Northeast.

MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper is the only accredited American College of Surgeons Academic Cancer Program in South Jersey. Our physicians are on the forefront of medicine and serve as faculty at the Cooper Medical School of Rowan University.

Top in the Nation

Consistently ranked as the No. 1 cancer hospital by U.S. News & World Report’s “Best Hospitals” survey, MD Anderson also ranks first in the number of research grants and total amount of grant funds awarded by the National Cancer Institute.

Cancer Care, Close to Home

At the heart of cancer care in the region, MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper provides nationally recognized cancer care, close to home, offering the most advanced diagnostic and treatment services available and access to a wide range of groundbreaking clinical trials.

A State-of-the-Art Cancer Center

Spanning 103,000 square feet over four stories, the new cancer center features spacious exam and procedure rooms, an open chemotherapy infusion suite with specially designed chairs to keep patients comfortable during treatment, two private infusion rooms, and a high-tech radiation oncology unit.

The new center is equipped with latest diagnostic and treatment technology and is designed to foster a team approach to medicine.

A Nurturing, Healing Environment

Beautiful gardens and thoughtfully curated healing art by New Jersey artists bring comfort to patients and their families. What a perfect way to enhance the healing process!

The Tranquility Garden, a scenic, rooftop garden with wildflowers, trees and benches allows nature to bring calm and peace to those in need.

The focal point of the lobby is the “Tree of Life,” standing two stories tall, stalwart against all adversity. The tree – a universal symbol of wisdom, protection, strength, abundance and beauty – communicates the tenacity of life.

A Healthier South Jersey

Major renovations are underway at MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper in Voorhees. Patients will benefit from a new multidisciplinary care suite, a spacious chemotherapy suite, a new linear accelerator for advanced radiation therapy and a permanent PET/CT. Cancer services are also available at other locations throughout South Jersey.

Naming Opportunities

Naming opportunities are also available to support the new MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper. These opportunities provide a way to achieve your philanthropic goals, and, at the same time, help patients access nationally recognized cancer care, close to home.
