Summer in the City Concert Series 2015
The Cooper Foundation held its Sixth Annual Summer in the City Concert Series with three free performances at Sheila Roberts Park in Camden in July and August. Special thanks to co-sponsors Campbell Soup Company, Garden State Discovery Museum and Rowan University.
Countless individuals and groups joined in supporting families in need by taking part in Adopt-A-Family. The initiative, in which individuals or departments “adopt” a family and help them celebrate the holiday season by providing them with items on their wish lists, helped a total of 92 families this year!
2014 Holiday Meal Program

Drive for a Cure Check Presentation
Burns Honda car dealership in Marlton, N.J. recently presented The Cooper Foundation with a check for $5,000 in support of Pink Roses Teal Magnolias to benefit cancer care and research at MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper. The money was raised during the dealership’s Drive for a Cure event that took place throughout the month of October. View Now!

The Fifth Annual Pink Roses Teal Magnolias Brunch was held at the Crowne Plaza in Cherry Hill, NJ on Oct. 26, 2014. The event supports innovative breast and gynecological research and clinical programs at MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper, pays special tribute to breast and ovarian cancer survivors, and honors loved ones lost to the disease. More than 300 people gathered at Ponzio’s Dinner-Bakery-Bar in Cherry Hill for the 50th anniversary celebration and to remember Jim Fifis, the long-time owner of Ponzio’s before he died of lung cancer in 2007. The event raised a record $130,000 to support the Jim Fifis Lung Cancer Research Fund at MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper. View Now!

Second Annual Berkowitz Family Foundation Lecture Series 2014
Physician and author Danielle Ofri, MD, PhD, an expert who has studied the relationship between emotions and the delivery of medical care, discussed this topic at the Second Annual Berkowitz Lecture sponsored by the Cooper Foundation on April 9, 2014, at the Cooper Medical School of Rowan University. The Cooper Foundation raised $1.4 million at the Cooper Red Hot Gala on April 4, to benefit the Cooper Bone and Joint Institute and set a record of raising a total of $5.5 million over the past four years to support research and patient care at Cooper University Health Care.

Excitement for Cooper Gala Heats Up at Kickoff Event
About 50 guests, including committee chairs, physicians and friends of The Cooper Foundation, attended the Red Hot Gala Kickoff on February 11, at Caffe Lamberti in Cherry Hill. Guests enjoyed tasty cuisine and cocktails. This year’s Red Hot Gala will be held on Friday, April 4, at 7 p.m., at Vie in Philadelphia and will benefit the Cooper Bone and Joint Institute.
Lauren Rose Albert Foundation Delivers Gift Bags to Cancer Patients at Cooper
Representatives from the Lauren Rose Albert Foundation delivered their signature Mothers Matter gift bags to MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper on December 9. The 75 bags filled with women's personal care, beauty and spa products, warm socks and other comforting items were assembled by the foundation's Mothers Matter volunteers and will be distributed to patients at the new cancer center.
Trauma Center Hosts Annual Season of Hope & Healing Celebration 2013
On December 4, members of the Cooper community celebrated the Cooper Trauma Center’s 5th Anniversary of the Season of Hope & Healing. Camden’s Creative & Performing Arts High School Choir kicked off the evening with a performance. The celebration continued outside in the DiFlorio Family Healing Garden for the annual lighting ceremony. The event raised more than $4,000 in special snowflake dedications to benefit the Trauma Family Support Group for families of patients.

The Fourth Annual Pink Roses Teal Magnolias Brunch on October 27 raised a record $600,000 for breast and gynecologic cancer research and clinical programs at MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper. More than 800 women and “a few good men” attended this year’s brunch honoring MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper Director Generosa Grana, M.D.

The Cooper Foundation of the Cooper Health System unveiled a sign on July 26, 2013, in honor of Delores I. Males, RN, BSN, and a $15,000 gift from the Dollie I. Males Angel Fund to the Children’s Regional Hospital at Cooper. A number of Dollie's family and friends were in attendance. Former Patient Presents $3,000 to The Cooper Foundation for Trauma Center
On April 3, 2013 Alyssa Lesher and her family presented The Cooper Foundation with a check for $3,000 in support of the Trauma Program. Lesher was severely injured in a car accident involving a negligent driver and spent more than two weeks in Cooper’s Trauma Intensive Care Unit (TICU). Today, while still on her own road to recovery, she is advocating the importance of safe driving through a special fundraiser at her school, Lenape High School, as well as a website to promote awareness within the community. Dedication of The Jaffe Family Women’s Care Center at Cooper
The Cooper Foundation announced that it has received a $250,000 gift from the family of longtime Cooper physician Ronald M. Jaffe, M.D. In recognition of the gift, the Women’s Care Center in Camden has been named in honor of Dr. Jaffe. The Women’s Care Center provides high quality medical care to underserved women in South Jersey. View Now!
