The Cooper Aortic Center combines a premiere transfer center that expedites immediate transport of patients anywhere in South Jersey with a team of aortic specialists, who dedicate their career to the treatment of aortic disease, in the most sophisticated operating room built in the region. Patients treated in the hybrid operating room, experience shorter procedure times, less radiation exposure, reduced need for ICU care, less risk of infection, shorter hospital stays and faster recovery.

Our surgeons are renowned in their ability to perform complex open reconstructions as well as minimally invasive endovascular procedures. Cooper aortic surgeons have also been instrumental in patenting new technology for prevention of stroke in aortic repair and the development in branch vessel technology treating aortic aneurysms involving the visceral arteries. Since its inception in 2009, the Center has achieved an increase in volume by 500 percent and is now recognized as a regional center of excellence for all of South Jersey in the treatment of complex aortic conditions. Recently, Cooper was the first in the state of New Jersey to implant the FDA-approved fenestrated endograft to treat aortic aneurysms.
