Annual Adopt-A-Family Effort Brightens Holidays for Needy Families
Again this year, Cooper has partnered with Volunteers of America of the Delaware Valley to help local families in need celebrate the holidays through the “Adopt-A-Family” program.
Employees, some individually and some working together as a department, were matched with families and purchased new clothing and toys for the children in each family. Food store gift cards were also donated, to help provide a special holiday meal.
The Cooper Foundation says that more than 50 families, representing approximately 200 people, were “adopted” thanks to the efforts of Cooper employees.
“Adopt-A-Family is a wonderful way for Cooper to demonstrate its commitment to our community,” said Susan Bass Levin, President and CEO of The Cooper Foundation. “Thanks to every employee who made a difference in the life of a family this holiday season.”
