Annual Children’s Regional Hospital Fundraiser to Honor Two Pediatric Leaders

Two esteemed leaders in Pediatric Medicine and Nursing will be honored during the A Tribute to Children’s Regional Hospital Anat R. Feingold, MD, and Jackie Ficerai Tedeschi, RN. The event will take place on Wednesday, June 12, at 5 p.m. at Cooper University Hospital, Roberts Pavilion, 10th Floor.

Anat R. Feingold, MD

Anat R. Feingold, MD, is the Division Head of Pediatric Infectious Diseases; Director of the Inpatient Pediatric Unit; Associate Program Director of the Pediatric Residency Program at Cooper; and the Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Cooper Medical School of Rowan University. She first joined Children’s Regional Hospital at Cooper in 1994, as an attending physician practicing closely with former chief of pediatrics Dr. Sidney Sussman in the Southern New Jersey Pediatric AIDS Program at Cooper.

Dr. Feingold’s passion for activism in the AIDS epidemic was sparked during her first fellowship at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, New York City, where AIDS was already devastating families and communities. During that time, she completed her Master’s in Public Health at Columbia University, and worked as a junior attending physician with IV drug users and their families in a methadone program. Dr. Feingold then spent a year in Nairobi, Kenya helping design and build a health clinic outside the capitol. Her second fellowship, in pediatric infectious disease, was at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia. She holds an M.D. from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri.

During her years of clinical practice, Dr. Feingold has received numerous teaching awards, and recognition from the March of Dimes and AIDS activist organizations. She has been named to lists of “Top Docs” in Philadelphia and South Jersey publications multiple times. She and her husband Nate, who serves as Chief Medical Officer at Bellevue Hospital in New York
City, have been married 27 years and have two daughters, Lani and Mara, and a son, Jordan.

Jackie Ficerai Tedeschi, RN, CPN,is celebrating twenty-four years as a pediatric nurse at Children’s Regional Hospital at Cooper this year. She began her career at Cooper as a staff nurse

and 18 months later was promoted to Associate Clinical Director of Pediatrics and the PICU, where she still serves today.

During her tenure at Cooper, Jackie has been nominated for countless awards in the nursing field. In 2000, she received Cooper’s prestigious Ruby Gross Leadership Award in Nursing, given annually to a nurse who demonstrates exceptional teamwork and leadership qualities. Jackie is well-known for coaching and mentoring colleagues over the years, and shaping them into exceptional nurse leaders.

Born and raised in Berlin, N.J., Jackie discovered nursing in college and chose it as a career path because of the many opportunities within the field. She says Pediatrics has always held a special place for her because she is inspired by the courage and spirit of children and their families. She also appreciates her work at Cooper because it gives her the chance to impact families, and in turn be touched by them as well.

Jackie’s get away from work is bass fishing. She is married to noted local pediatrician Dr. John B. Tedeschi and they have a daughter, Nicoletta, age 4.
