“Bras For a Cause” Smashes Donation Expectations

PRTM15_BrasforaCauseCAMDEN, N.J. – Women’s Council of REALTORS Southern NJ’s Bras For A Cause event raised more than $22,000 – four times last year’s total – donating proceeds to MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper’s Pink Roses Teal Magnolias fund. The event recognized “Pink Warriors” (survivors) for their strength and bravery.

Over 450 guests, 30 male models and 50+ volunteers took part in the fun-filled, action- packed charity event, all in the name of fighting breast and gynecologic cancers.

The Cooper Foundation’s team was on hand to assist as attendees who took part in a rousing live auction, bidding on their favorite male model wearing a decorated custom-made bra. The energy and competition in the room exploded while guests raised their paddles and bid furiously. This year’s “Top Bra” sold for $2,600. The event also included 50/50 and basket raffles and a silent auction.

Susan Bass Levin, President and CEO of The Cooper Foundation, welcomed attendees and volunteers. She spent the night personally engaging with survivors and all who contributed to the event.
