Cooper Foundation Hosted its Second “Summer in the City” Concert

The Cooper Foundation of Cooper University Hospital on Thursday, July 12, 2012 hosted its second of four “Summer in the City” concerts with a free evening performance by “Leon Huff presents Ju-Taun” at Cooper Commons Park.

The goal of Summer in the City is to help build a sense of community while showcasing the neighborhood parks and positive changes in the Cooper Plaza and Lanning Square neighborhoods.

“The Camden community has really started to look forward to the Summer in the City concert series,” said Susan Bass Levin, president and CEO of the Cooper Foundation. “It’s great to see adults and children coming together to enjoy live entertainment and celebrate their neighborhoods.

Co-sponsors of the Summer in the City concert series include the Garden State Discovery Museum, which will offer face painting and bubble fun, and Rita’s Water Ice.

All concerts being at 5:30 p.m. and are free and open to the public.
