Cooper Foundation to Host Final “Summer in the City” Concert Thursday, Aug. 2

The Cooper Foundation of Cooper University Hospital on Thursday, Aug. 2, 2012 will host its final “Summer in the City” concert of the season with a free evening performance by the Hector Rosado Latin Band at Lanning Square Park.

This is the fourth concert in the series.

The goal of Summer in the City is to help build a sense of community while showcasing the neighborhood parks and positive changes in the Cooper Plaza and Lanning Square neighborhoods.

“Our Summer in the City concert series has become increasingly popular every year,” said Susan Bass Levin, president and CEO of the Cooper Foundation. “The concerts are a way to bring people who live and work in the city together to appreciate the ongoing revitalization that is taking place in large part due to investments by Cooper University Hospital.”

Co-sponsors of the Summer in the City concert series include the Garden State Discovery Museum, which will offer face painting and bubble fun, and Rita’s Water Ice.
