Cooper in the Community – Season of Giving

Ready to distribute holiday meals and gifts to Cooper Plaza families are (L-R) Octavia Nash, CMSRU; Karen Opar, CMSRU; Susan Bass Levin, The Cooper Foundation; Jocelyn A. Mitchell-Williams MD, CMSRU; Renee Murray, Camden Coalition.

During the holiday season, Cooper employees show their holiday spirit in so many ways. We helped local families celebrate the holidays through the Volunteers of America Adopt-a-Family program, which assisted more than 200 people. We ran a food drive at the hospital for the Food Bank of South Jersey and collected coats, gloves and scarves to keep local children warm. We also provided our littlest patients at the Children’s Regional Hospital at Cooper with gifts, socks and mittens.

Through a partnership between The Cooper Foundation and Cooper Medical School of Rowan University, more than 110 turkeys and hams, along with groceries, books and toys were distributed to families in Cooper Plaza and Lanning Square neighborhoods and other Camden community organizations such as Camden Dreams, Lutheran Social Ministries, New Mickle Baptist Church and The Center for Family Services.

The Cooper Foundation would like to thank the following partners for your generous contributions during the season of giving. You made this possible!
