Cooper Partners with Volunteers of America at the Holidays
Departments throughout Cooper will be working with the Volunteers of America of the Delaware Valley to help brighten the holidays for area families in need through the “Adopt-A-Family” program.
Each department is matched with a family and receives information about that family, including children’s gender, age, clothing size, and toy “wish lists.” Employees in that department work together to purchase new clothing, toys, and a food store gift card to help provide a special holiday meal.
Once gifts are collected, they will be delivered to Cooper’s Volunteer Office and Volunteers of America will distribute them to families in mid-December.
“For more than 120 years, Cooper has maintained a commitment to its original community mission,” said Susan Bass Levin, president and CEO of The Cooper Foundation. “The Adopt-A-Family program, which helps so many families in need during the holiday season, is one more way we can demonstrate that commitment.”
