A Message from Susan Bass Levin

As a new friend recently told me, if you throw a fighter to the wolves, she will come back leading the pack.

To all the fighters who joined us for the 6th Annual Pink Roses Teal Magnolias Brunch, thank you for your generous support.

Together, we raised a record-breaking $630,000 for breast and gynecologic cancer research and clinical programs at MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper.

More than 800 people attended the brunch, which featured an amazing Flash Mob Fight Song performance by some of our incredibly talented Host Committee members. Make sure you watch and share the video and check out the highlight reel from the event. You can also view photos here.

A special thanks to our community partners for supporting Pink Roses Teal Magnolias during the month of October, including Lee Newman and Tehen, Mixellaneous, Burns Honda, the Women’s Council of Realtors, Tutti Toscani and so many more.

The Cooper Foundation welcomes the opportunity to partner with area businesses and community organizations throughout the year. For more information about how to get involved, click here.

With holidays upon us, please consider The Cooper Foundation in your charitable giving plans and make a donation to help patients and families in need.

I hope you and your families have a Happy Thanksgiving! We at The Cooper Foundation are thankful each and every day for supporters like you.

November is Lung Cancer Awareness Month !

Approximately 1 in 13 men and 1 in 16 women will get lung cancer in their lifetime, and according to the American Cancer Society, lung cancer is the single largest cancer killer in New Jersey. South Jersey residents have lung cancer rates that exceed the state average. Research, early detection and clinical trials are the most effective weapons to diagnose and treat lung cancer at its earliest stage where complete remission has the greatest opportunity.

This November, join the fight against lung cancer by making a donation to the Jim Fifis Lung Cancer Research Fund at MD Anderson Cooper. Your gift will help save lives.

The playroom and an adjacent family lounge are made possible by a grant from the Johnny M Foundation, established in 2010 by Patti and John Murabito, of Mount Laurel, to honor the memory of their son Johnny Murabito, Jr., who died when he was just 3 years old.
