Quilts for A Cure: MD Anderson Cooper
Online Quilt Auction
Goes Live September 27 @ Noon

Nancy Turnbull is a quilter and a cancer survivor. Her quilt, Two Sisters, is one of more than 50 beautiful quilts to be auctioned off in our first online quilt auction starting Sept. 27 to support the Foundation’s Pink Roses Teal Magnolias Fund at the MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper.

Quilts by cancer survivors, like Nancy, and others who have been touched by cancer as well as many generous quilters, quilt shops, quilt guilds and volunteers from throughout our region, will soon be available to the highest bidder.

Read More about Nancy’s story and check out our Online Quilt Auction starting Sept. 27 (next week!) for a photo and description of each of our unique and colorful quilts.

Time's Running Out! Join the Fight Against Lung Cancer

Jim Fifis, longtime owner of Ponzio’s Diner-Bakery-Bar in Cherry Hill fought valiantly, but lost his battle with lung cancer in 2007. His three sons, Chris, Nick and John, carry on his legacy. Fulfilling a promise to their dad to advocate for a cure for lung cancer and to raise awareness about the dangers of smoking, they created the annual Jim Fifis Lung Cancer Research Fund Dinner to honor his memory and raise important funds for lung cancer research at MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper.

This year’s sixth annual dinner will take place on Tuesday, Sept. 27 at Ponzio’s in Cherry Hill. Tickets and sponsorship opportunities are still available. Become a Sponsor or Purchase Tickets

Funds raised at the Fifis dinner make a difference to patients like Cherry Hill’s own, Lee Sargent. Click Here to read his lung cancer journey as an example of your gifts at work.
