Foundation Trustee Jeff Brown Honored By Katz JCC

Editor’s Note: The following Cherry Hill Mayoral Proclamations was posted on the Cherry Hill Township website on December 16, 2013.

Jeffrey Brown

WHEREAS it is the intention of the Mayor and Council of Cherry Hill Township to focus attention on noteworthy individuals; and

WHEREAS tonight, the Katz JCC is proud to present Jeffrey Brown with its 2013 Lifetime Achievement Award for his countless contributions to the JCC, Cherry Hill, South Jersey, and the youth of our community; and

WHEREAS it is especially fitting that this honor be given to Jeff at the 2013 JCC Sports Award Dinner, which was founded five years ago because of Jeff’s vision and leadership; and

WHEREAS since its inception, the Sports Award Dinner has raised more than $700,000 to benefit health and wellness programs for children in our community; and

WHEREAS Jeff has been a leader at the JCC since joining its board in 2000 and has served as an ambassador for the JCC to prospective members, donors and sponsors, with a special focus on youth programming; and

WHEREAS his generosity, philanthropy, leadership and vision extend far beyond the reaches of the JCC, to organizations that include the Cooper Hospital Foundation, the University of Miami, the National MS Society’s, the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation, and a number of Jewish organizations in our region.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, CHUCK CAHN, by virtue of the authority vested in me as Mayor of the Township of Cherry Hill, County of Camden, State of New Jersey, do hereby honor and thank

Jeffrey Brown

for his countless contributions to our community, and urge all citizens to join with me and Council in thanking Jeff for the work he has done to improve the lives of people across our region through his generosity and vision – both of which have truly made Cherry Hill a better place to live and play.
