Child Life
The Child Life Program at the Children’s Regional Hospital at Cooper University Hospital consists of a dedicated team of Child Life Specialists who understand that illness and hospitalization are stressful events in the lives of children and their families. The Child Life team strives to make the hospital experience a positive one by offering psychosocial and emotional support to children and families.
The Cooper Foundation has supported the Child Life Program by purchasing supplies, toys and other comfort items for use on a daily basis by the Child Life Specialists.

Johnny M. Playroom & Teen Lounge
A hospital stay can be a difficult time for children and their families. The Johnny M. Playroom and Teen Lounge were created to promote play, interaction and fun for children and families. Outfitted with toys and games these spaces are often a welcome retreat from a hospital room. The Johnny M. Playroom also features a parents/family lounge with seating and a kitchen to promote family bonding time.
Art Therapy & Music Therapy
For children diagnosed with an illness or admitted to a hospital, the experience can be frightening and confusing. Often patients need an outlet to express their thoughts and emotions. Through the Art Therapy and Music Therapy Funds, pediatric patients will benefit from art and music therapy through the Child Life Program.
