Go Green, Donate to Shoebox Recycling Program

Do you have extra shoes in your closet?

Go green this spring by participating in the first ever Shoe Collection, organized by the Cooper “Green Team” and the Cooper Foundation!

Worn is Not Worn Out

Bring in your gently used shoes and sneakers so they can be recycled and reused by those in need of affordable footwear in developing countries.

Support Cooper

The Cooper Foundation will receive funds from Shoe Box Recycling based on the total weight of the shoes collected. Whatever we raise will support a Green Team initiative through the Cooper Foundation.

About ShoeBox Recycling

More than 300 million pairs of shoes end up in landfills each year. ShoeBox Recycling is a for-profit shoe recycler with a mission to reuse as many shoes as possible.

Here’s How it Works:

Bring in paired men’s, women’s and children’s shoes and sneakers.

Do Not Bring:

  • Heavy ski boots, winter boots, roller skates, roller blades, foam flip-flops, or slippers
  • Please no holes in the soles, or mildew or mold on the shoes.

How to Recycle:

Cooper Green Team members have set up drop off locations that will be available starting Earth Day on April 22 through June 14.

Drop Off Locations:

  • Main Hospital – Errand Solutions
  • 3 Cooper Plaza – First Floor Lobby
  • Voorhees – Building One Atrium
  • 3 Executive Campus Lobby
