Courier-Post: Initiatives support healing process to help Camden cope
Cooper University Health Care’s Victor Murray keeps the persistent effects of trauma in mind while he works as a hospital-based violence interventionist. Murray is also a field worker for the Guidance, Preservation and Support program. GPS is an initiative of the Camden Coalition of Healthcare Providers and received start up funding through the Nicholson Foundation and is currently funded through The Cooper Foundation.
Philadelphia Inquirer Editorial: A Win for Camden’s Kids
The Inquirer praises the Camden school board for approving plans for a charter-style Renaissance school in the city. The proposal, The Knowledge Is Power Program, was submitted by a partnership of the Norcross Foundation Inc. and The Cooper Foundation.
