Earlier today, we held a press conference for the groundbreaking of Project Imagine’s first phase – a new state-of-the-art hospital tower next to Roberts Pavilion. The press event included Cooper Chairman George E. Norcross, III, Governor Phil Murphy, Mayor Vic Carstarphen, and former governors Chris Christie, Jon Corzine, Tom Kean, and Jim McGreevey.

Kelly Ripa, a South Jersey native, also joined the press conference prior to hosting a disco party with disco-ball-themed red velvet cake for Cooper team members. During the pandemic, Kelly Ripa sent in a video in which she promised to visit and throw a party to thank the Cooper team for their efforts. She delivered on her promise today.
