MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper and Holy Redeemer Announce Plans to Expand Advanced Cancer Care to Residents of Southeastern Pennsylvania

MEADOWBROOK, PA. – MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper and Holy Redeemer Health System have signed a Letter of Intent to develop a joint cancer program at Holy Redeemer Hospital. The agreement will expand the reach of Cooper University Health Care’s partnership with one of the leading cancer centers in the nation, MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.

The physicians at MD Anderson at Cooper will provide clinical oversight of the cancer program at the Holy Redeemer campus and beyond. Patients at the Holy Redeemer Hospital facility will have access to the integrated, multidisciplinary approach to cancer care available at MD Anderson at Cooper, including radiation oncology, medical and surgical oncology, infusion, and diagnostic imaging.

“MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper has transformed cancer care in the region, and we are the top choice for cancer care among South Jersey residents,” said George E. Norcross, III, chairman of the Board of Trustees at Cooper. “Our agreement with Holy Redeemer expands our partnership with one of the nation’s leading cancer centers, MD Anderson, so that more patients in the region will have access to a higher level of cancer care.”

As part of the Letter of Intent, MD Anderson at Cooper’s clinical experts will be based at Holy Redeemer and provide a wide range of cancer services using the same MD Anderson treatment protocols.
