Peggy Spiegler Melanoma Research Foundation Fundraiser Benefits Cooper Cancer Institute
Just over $1000 was raised on May 22 by the Peggy Spiegler Melanoma Research Foundation in a one-of-a-kind fundraiser. People from all over South Jersey visited the Cherry Hill Shop Rite on Evesham and Springdale Roads to drop off boxes of confidential paperwork – about 200 of them! – to be shredded. Organizers from the PSMRF requested donations of $5.00 per box to provide the service. Secured Document Destruction, a mobile shredding service, provided their shredding mechanics for the event free of charge.
“Cooper University Hospital and the Cooper Cancer Institute are grateful for this support from the PSMRF,” said Susan Bass Levin, president and CEO of the Cooper Foundation. “With partnerships like these, Cooper can make real advances that benefit our community.”
