Pro Tennis Classic to Benefit Children’s Regional Hospital at Cooper
The second annual Mercedes-Benz of Cherry Hill Pro Tennis Classic will take place November 11-12, 2011 and will benefit pediatric patients at the Children’s Regional Hospital at Cooper.
Preparing for an MRI exam can be a frightening experience for any patient, especially young children. But today, thanks to the funds raised from last year’s first-ever Mercedes-Benz of Cherry Hill Pro Tennis Classic, pediatric patients at Children’s Regional Hospital at Cooper can now enjoy the ESys Patient Entertainment System from Invivo, an in-room, high-definition audio and visual presentation that distracts the patient while having the study performed.
“The Children’s Regional Hospital at Cooper is again honored to be the benefactor of this incredible event,” said Michael H. Goodman, MD, Chief of Pediatrics at Cooper. “With the purchase made from last year’s fundraiser, we cotninue to stay at the forefront of medical technology, offering the best quality of care for our pediatric patients. I anticipate seeing even more of a success at this year’s tournament.”
The two-day event will bring international tennis superstars Todd Martin (formerly ranked #4 in the world) and Mikael Pernfors (formerly ranked #10 in the world) to Cherry Hill.
On Friday, November 11, a special cocktail reception and silent auction will be held to welcome Martin and Pernfors to the area. Items featured in the auction include a week’s stay in Telluride, CO, tickets to the 2012 U.S. Open Final, and more!
The next day, Saturday, November 12, the Cherry Hill Health & Racquet Club will play host to a day’s worth of activities, including an Adult Pro-Am, 10 & Under Kids Zone, a children’s tennis clinic with the pros, and a celebrity tennis match.
