Q. What motivates you to do all you do for the Children’s Regional Hospital at Cooper?

A. I care about kids, and I believe that health, along with education, is critical to the success of future generations. God forbid your child needs to be in the hospital, but if they do, Cooper is a great place to go.

Q. How long have you been supporting Cooper?

A. I’ve been involved with Cooper for at least 30 years, and even after I’m gone, I want my family to continue supporting this hospital. Look how far we’ve come. Not only do we have the only state designated acute care children’s hospital in New Jersey, but we also have MD Anderson Cooper and Cooper Medical School of Rowan University.

Q. What was your favorite childhood game?

A. Baseball

Q. What is your favorite children’s book?

A. The Night Before Christmas. We still read it every Christmas Eve.

Q. Why is the Children’s Regional Hospital at Cooper so important to you?

A. Probably because it has always been so important to my dad. He always said: “Please promise me you will always give to the kids at Cooper.” It is a promise I have kept and always will keep.

Q. Why should other people give back and support Cooper?

A. If you have the means to give, it is important to give back. It is imperative that people from South Jersey have a place to receive quality care so they do not have to go over the bridge to Philadelphia, and we need to raise money to support that.

Q. What was your favorite childhood game?

A. Memory and Candy Land

Q. What is your favorite children’s book?

A. Where the Sidewalk Ends by Shel Silverstein. I loved all the different stories.
