It’s no accident that Dr. Generosa Grana serves as both Head of the Division of Hematology/Oncology and as Director of the Cooper Cancer Institute, one of Cooper’s signature programs. It’s through years of service, to the Cooper Health System and to so many patients from so many walks of life.

Over time, her special interests in breast cancer, cancer and genetics, and cancer prevention grew. Dr. Grana taught in various capacities at Temple, and later at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey / Robert Wood Johnson School of Medicine. She also received awards from several cancer organizations, including Susan G. Komen For the Cure (in 1998, 2003, and 2009).

Dr. Grana has been named many, many times over in “Top Doctors” lists locally, regionally and nationally. Most recently, she lent key support to Cooper’s incredibly successful “Pink Roses and Teal Magnolias” benefit brunch to support research in breast and gynecologic cancers.
