Ride Hard Breath Easy Donates $5,000 for Lung Cancer Patients
MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper was proud to receive a $5,000 donation from Ride Hard Breathe Easy (RHBE), a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting lung cancer patients and raising awareness for the world’s leading cause of cancer-related death. This generous gift will directly benefit lung cancer patients at MD Anderson at Cooper, helping address critical needs during one of the most challenging times in their lives.
Ride Hard Breathe Easy was founded in 2017 after John Matthews made a promise to his mother, Kathleen, during her battle with lung cancer. What began as a cross-country bike ride to raise awareness has grown into a nonprofit that provides financial support to lung cancer patients facing everyday challenges. Through its Breathe Easy Program, RHBE helps patients with transportation, food insecurity, utility bills, and other essential needs. To date, the organization has raised more than $1.1 million, supported over 3,000 patients, and directs more than 92% of every dollar raised back into its programs.
We are grateful to Ride Hard Breathe Easy for their generosity and continued commitment to lung cancer patients. Their support helps ensure patients at MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper receive compassionate care that extends beyond treatment.
