Support for Red Hot Gala Continues

“Collaboration” and “partnership” are often-used terms around Cooper. It’s because we take pride in working together, and we value teamwork in many different forms.

For Dr. Robert Hirsh, teamwork is especially important. He serves as Co-Director of the Division of Pain Management in the Department of Anesthesiology. Along with several colleagues, he serves as Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology for the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey / Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. In his research, lecturing, and publications, he works together often with colleagues at Cooper and beyond.

One of the most interesting aspects of Dr. Hirsh’s work are his efforts through the Cooper Invention Committee. Currently, he is involved in three separate patent applications for innovations that will improve safety and outcomes in anesthetics. In addition, he is also working on an IRB-approved mathematical algorithm to allow non-invasive measurement of cardiac functions. All of this work serves to benefit Cooper colleagues, patients, and the field as a whole.

Dr. Hirsh developed these interests and approaches throughout his education, which includes such institutions as Yale (undergraduate degree), Albert Einstein College of Medicine (M.D.), and Memorial Sloan Cancer Center (fellowship). Following eleven years working at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, he joined Cooper in 1999 and has been enabling great teamwork ever since.

For your support of the Red Hot Gala and your many contributions to Cooper, Dr. Hirsh, we thank you! Learn more and get updates by visiting the Red Hot Gala web page at cooperhealth.org/redhot!
