Celebrate 50 Years of Ponzio’s on Sept. 23 & Raise Money for Cancer Research
The year was 1964 – Lyndon B. Johnson was president, the Beatles were at the top of the Billboard charts, and a grilled cheese sandwich at the newly opened Ponzio’s Diner cost just 70 cents. Fifty years – and more than 300,000 grilled cheese sandwiches later – Ponzio’s remains a South Jersey tradition, owned and operated by the Fifis family. Join the Fifis family and The Cooper Foundation at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 23 at Ponzio’s in Cherry Hill to celebrate the diner’s 50th anniversary and support the Jim Fifis Lung Cancer Research Fund at Cooper.
