The Cooper Foundation Awarded $555,000 Grant from Roots & Wings Foundation for Prenatal and Early Childhood Healthcare

The Cooper Foundation has received a $555,000 grant from the Roots & Wings Foundation. This generous contribution will strengthen Cooper University Health Care’s efforts to support the youngest and most vulnerable members of our community by funding essential programs focused on healthcare, early learning, basic needs, and safety for low-income children and families, from prenatal care through age three.
“This partnership reinforces the Foundation’s dedication to fostering positive outcomes through prevention, early intervention and transformative programming,” said Philip A. Norcross, Esq., chairman of The Cooper Foundation Board. “With help from community partners like the Roots & Wings Foundation, we can work towards a world where every mother and baby have the opportunity for a healthy start, regardless of socioeconomic barriers.”
“A healthy community begins with empowering families from the very beginning,” said Lisa Morina, senior vice president and chief philanthropy officer at The Cooper Foundation. “We are deeply grateful for this partnership, which allows us to advance critical initiatives that improve the health and well-being of children and families in our region.”
The Roots & Wings Foundation is dedicated to supporting non-profit organizations that empower low-income children and families to reach their full potential. Their focus on preventative and transformative programming ensures meaningful, lasting change so every child has the opportunity to thrive.
Children’s Regional Hospital at Cooper (CRHC) is South Jersey’s only state-designated acute care children’s hospital, providing expert care with over 59,000 pediatric patient visits annually across 27 pediatric subspecialties.
Together, The Cooper Foundation and the Roots & Wings Foundation are building a brighter, healthier future for our youngest community members.
