The Cooper Foundation Celebrates 15 Years of Pink & Teal, Raising $350K to Support Women’s Cancer Care

2025 Pink Roses Teal Magnolias Heroes

(Cherry Hill, NJ): Hundreds gathered on October 26 for The Cooper Foundation’s 15th Annual Pink Roses & Teal Magnolias event. The event honors survivors, remembers loved ones, and raises vital funds for women’s cancer programs at MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper.

This year’s event raised more than $350,000 to advance research and clinical trials, expand access to early detection and diagnostics, and strengthen programs that support women throughout their cancer journey.

Since its inception, Pink Roses & Teal Magnolias has been a cherished affair and South Jersey tradition. To date, the event has raised more than $8 million for breast and gynecologic cancer care.

“Cooper is committed to increasing access to critically needed cancer care, whether by holding events like Pink Rose & Teal Magnolias fundraiser, which for the past 15 years has brought together people committed to advancing cancer care for women across South Jersey or expanding MD Anderson at Cooper’s radiation oncology services to Cooper University Hospital Cape Regional, providing access to critical cancer care for the residents of Cape May and Atlantic counties,” said George E. Norcross III, the chairman of the Board of Trustees of Cooper University Health Care.

“Each year, Pink Roses & Teal Magnolias showcases the strength of our patients, the dedication of our care teams, and the compassion of our community,” said Philip A. Norcross, Esq., chairman of The Cooper Foundation Board. “Together, we’re advancing innovation, improving access, and ensuring that every woman and family who turns to Cooper receives the highest level of care.”

Generosa Grana, MD, director of MD Anderson at Cooper, reflected on her 31st year of service and shared her gratitude for the event’s continued success. “This celebration unites survivors, families, and caregivers in support of women’s cancer care,” said Dr. Grana. “The funds raised through Pink Roses & Teal Magnolias fuel research, expand access to treatment, and help create a world where cancer is detected earlier, treated more effectively, and faced with greater hope—one rose, one magnolia, and one story of hope at a time.”

The program also recognized six outstanding team members as the 2025 Pink & Teal Heroes, whose dedication to advancing cancer care reflects the heart of the Pink & Teal mission:

  • Stuti Ahlawat, MD, radiation oncologist, MD Anderson at Cooper & Assistant Professor of Radiation Oncology, Cooper Medical School of Rowan University
  • Allison F. Gittens, MD, head, Division of Breast Imaging, MD Anderson at Cooper

  • Theresa Netz, nursing director, Radiation Oncology, Cooper University Health Care Cape Regional
  • Jeffrey P. Tenner, DO, breast and general surgeon, Cooper University Health Care Cape Regional

The Cooper Foundation gives special thanks to the event’s presenting sponsors, The Forman Family Foundation (Donna & Rick Forman) and SP+ (The Fogel Family), whose generosity makes this event possible and ensures every woman receives exceptional care close to home.

Lisa Morina, senior vice president and chief philanthropy officer of The Cooper Foundation, expressed appreciation for the community’s continued impact: “Pink Roses & Teal Magnolias is more than an event—it’s a movement of hope and healing. The strength of our sponsors, donors, and attendees inspires us to continue building a future where every woman has the care and support she deserves.”
