The Cooper Foundation Kicks-Off Its 10th Annual Free Summer in the City Music Festival in the Park

CAMDEN, N.J. – The Cooper Foundation of Cooper University Health Care will kick-off its free Summer in the City Music Festival in the Park on Tuesday, July 23 at 5:30 p.m. in Sheila L. Roberts Park with a concert by To The Max.

This is the first of three performances to be held over the next three weeks. A special National Night Out concert will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 6. A complete schedule of concerts and dates is below.

The Summer in the City Music Festival is a popular event that brings the community together while showcasing the neighborhood parks and positive changes in the Cooper Plaza and Lanning Square neighborhoods.

The 10thth annual festival is a joint collaboration of The Cooper Foundation, Cooper’s Ferry Partnership, Cooper Lanning Civic Association and Lanning Square West Residents in Action.
Co-sponsors include the City of Camden, Garden State Discovery Museum and Camden Special Services District.

In addition to the music, children and families can enjoy bubble fun and face painting by the Garden State Discovery “On the Go” Museum. Rita’s will be serving water ice.

All concerts begin at 5:30 p.m. and are free and open to the public. The rain date for all concerts is Tuesday, Aug. 13.
